The Meeting of Cartington Parish Council was held in the Dovecote Room at the Jubilee Hall on Monday 25th October 2010.

DECLARATION OF INTERESTS : None
MINUTES : The Minutes of the last meetings were circulated, confirmed that they were in order and signed by the Chairman.
AUDIT FOR YEAR ENDING 31ST MARCH 2010 This had been returned from the Auditors and the Annual Return was presented to the Council and approved and accepted.
ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT : There were no account for payment.
FINANCIAL REPORT At present moment there is £389.56 in account. There will be clerks honorarium and room rent for meetings to pay before end of financial year.
PRECEPT FOR YEAR 1.4.2011 TO 31.3.2012 It was agreed to keep the precept the same as this year and precept for £400.00.
PLANNING :
A/2010/0252 Notice of approval of planning permission for installation of new drainage, electrical fittings and new road surface at Cragside Mansion.
A/2010/0198 Notice of granting of listed building consent for Cragside Manor.
REPORT ON NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL/ PARISH AND TOWN COUNCIL MEETING Councillor Armstrong attended this meeting and NCC discussed how their current and future plans for communication. They have spent money on new IT and telephone integrated systems and now have call centres in Hexham and Berwick. This should give people access to County Council for queries, complaints etc. NCC now communicates with Parish and Town Councils via e-mails. NCC have properties for sale which will boost the budget but there will be redundancies within the NCC.
NCC are in consultation regarding passing services onto the Parish and Town Councils.
Car Parking was discussed and Councillor Macey felt that people should fill in the parking survey on line. Councillor Macey and Councillor Duff will draft letter re the parking.
CORRESPONDENCE : Rothbury Joint Burial Committee sent the agenda and minutes for the next meeting.
A report was received from NHS North of Tyne launching a public awareness campaign to encourage people to get vaccinated against flu.
NALC sent their Annual Report for 2009-2010.
A draft consultation for Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment 2010 from NHS North of Tyne Northumberland Care Trust was tabled.
NCC wrote regarding the complaint about the road from Whittle Farm to Cartington to say that it had been repaired. Councillor Macey agreed that this had been done but it was actually the road from Cartington to Lorbottle that was actually worse and needed attention.
DATE OF NEXT MEETING: The date of the next Parish Council meeting was arranged for Monday 17th January 2011.
