Rothbury's Heritage

Rothbury's heritage goes back possibly as far as 10,000BC, when the first people are thought to have come to the land north of the River Tyne. However, the earliest real evidence is from Neolithic times (around 2,000 BC) through to the Iron Age forts (500BC) found around the Coquet Valley.
